Liv Kind was created to make slow living a little easier. I care about the ingredients that come into my home, how things are made, and finding simple, practical ways to live more intentionally. I created Liv Kind to share the products, recipes, and resources that help me do that, so they can make things a little easier for other women and families, too.

Slow living doesn’t mean doing everything the hard way. Sometimes it’s making things from scratch, and sometimes it’s finding a shortcut that still fits your values. Liv Kind is about products that are useful, uncomplicated, and made to fit into real homes, busy days, motherhood, and all the imperfect moments in between.

Whenever possible, I look for ways to make good use of what already exists. Our tallow, for example, is rendered from food-grade beef fat that would otherwise be discarded. It’s the same fat that gets added into your ground beef, but more accumulates from daily work than they use and normally, that extra fat just gets tossed. Turning a food byproduct into something useful is one small way Liv Kind reflects the resourceful, less-wasteful approach behind the brand.

Liv Kind products are made by hand in small batches in Rochester, New York. Small-batch production lets me stay closely involved with what I’m making and means you’ll occasionally see natural variations in color,texture, scent, or appearance. Those little differences are part of buying something made by a person rather than a factory.

Liv Kind isn’t just about what you can buy. It’s also about making the rest of slow living easier. Alongside handmade goods, you’ll find recipes, resources, ideas, and practical ways to make home life a little simpler and more intentional. Because sometimes the most helpful thing isn’t another product. It’s knowing how to make something yourself, finding a better shortcut, or realizing you don’t have to do everything from scratch.
